I had an idea for a math app that people can use to share what they have found within a set of equations that is either completely new or has additions to it. This would create a new equation page, where people can add onto the equation. People also moderate the pages to ensure that the content is legitimate. What do you think? Has it already been made? Instead of having individual PDF's or documents that make up the particular subject, there would be multiple documents a part of one particular topic pertaining to a set of equations or ideas. Mathworld; http://mathworld.wolfram.com/ Planetmath; http://planetmath.org/ are two that are good. More advanced and not always great (sorry Urs) is the nLab; http://ncatlab.org/nlab/show/HomePage The nLab sounds the closest to the OP here. It consists of not always very polished notes on advanced mathematics, almost always from a (higher) category point of view. However, it could be the model to follow. More like a multidimensional, tree/graph-structured, interactive, multi-user whiteboard. I like the idea of being able to unfold/reveal various different explorations/derivations/discussions. As these derivations and discussions might go off in multiple directions, maybe some sort of collaborative "mind mapping" tools is what is needed? Or, at least, you could use some of the concepts as a starting point and then add the math capability on top. Unity+ Posted October 25, 2014 Author Share Posted October 25, 2014 I have another part of the idea: What could happen is with the tree concept, users can first define a set of axioms for a concept(if they are not already defined).
