I had experimented with vocaloids once for my final project in film school--a video game--it was my backup if I couldn't get any voice actors. Luckily I had, but I still find the technology very interesting. The math and programming to do it from scratch is pretty daunting; I hope to give it a try someday. I had thought to maybe do an internet broadcast of a completely synthesized band, just for kicks. I think it could be the next garage band thing . . . .
