SWOT Analysis

Hi all,

I have to do some tests on my fermentation project today and after I am expected to write a SWOT analysis. This is something we have never done, and we haven't really talked about it in lectures. Does anyone have any pointers on things to include?

I will briefly explain what the project is about in case that will help direct suggestions.

It's an independent fermentation project. I decided to put different amounts of both garlic cloves and minced garlic in sealed jars of raw honey to see if I could have any impact on pH. The reason for this is that sometimes honey has Clos clostridium botulinum spores, and they favour a certain pH. I was hoping to see some variation in pH to prove that if one was to not follow the recipe they could be potentially adjusting that pH. I'm also doing spore staining on the raw honey. Those are the two things I'm testing for.

Yes, that SWOT. As far as I can tell, the SWOT is for our project. A friend took this last year and the SWOT was geared towards the project he did. I have never done one and this is the only independent lab project we have done, where we design the experiment and write the protocol. A professor gave me a couple ideas for weaknesses, but I'm still fumbling with this a bit.

Down and Dirty SWOT. Strength - stuff your experiment does that your colleagues' experiment does not. Weakness - stuff that your colleagues' does and yours doesn't. Opportunities - easy extensions, and stuff you realized you shud have done. Threats - what you a missing that you shouldn't be but cannot easily remedy, potential systematic weakness, inherent analytical weakness

It is not that complicated. You just have to write the Strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats?

I didn't imply that I thought it was complicated. Just wanted helpful suggestions to write my SWOT as this project was worth 50% of my final grade. Thanks for explaining to me that it wasn't complicated though.
