Guest daze Posted May 9, 2005 Share Posted May 9, 2005 Hi everyone im new here.I need to know how to work out the braking force required to a vehicle that weighs 10 tonne to a stop from 72km/h in 5m/s-2 i have to express the answer in kN. thanks.Also how do I work out braking effeiency? Klaynos Posted May 9, 2005 Share Posted May 9, 2005 ok well newtons laws tell us that: F=ma you state that you have an acceleration of 5m/s-2, and a mass of 10000 kilogram (assuming you ment a metric ton?)
