Calculate the energy needed to break the bonds in the reactant molecules, then claculate the energy released in the making of new bonds in the produced molecule, Al2O3, then find the sum of the energy needed to break the bonds and the energy needed to make then new bonds. And also, multiply each bonds strength/energy by the numebr of moles of it that is in the reaction.

 

[edit]- the alumina part is if ur doing the traditional rust and AL.
