Genetic Disorder

Featured Replies

can anyone please help me out...

I need to know how deafness is inherited. specifically, what causes the disorder on a dna level? also, what type of mutation it is (chromosomal or point mutation)

I look at google, but there are so many causes for deafness, I couldn't find on that seemed to work.

thanks a bunch,

jose :)

Perhaps these will help. They all have some info on genetics of deafness. If there are some terms or processes that aren't clear, you can try posting those questions on the forum as well.

Also, if you have access to on-line database of medical journals, they can be good sources, too. You probably can get access through your school computers. Good luck.

Thank you so much... I'll look at the links tommorow. I really appreciate it.
