What is your difficulty? The first two ask you to show that a certain equation corresponds to a "fixed point" problem having the same solution as [math]x^k= N[/math]. Do you know what "fixed point" problem means? 3 and 4 refer to "Newton's algorithm". Do you know what "Newton's algorithm" is?
