H bond strength in ethanol!? urgent!

Sorry but your post isn't very clear...re you talking about the O-H bonds? C-H? bonds or the bonds between the lone pair of electrons on an O of one molecule the H of another molecule? Maybe i could help you then...

Water H2O is more polar than Ethanol. Ethanol is more stable. Are you asking about Hydrogen Bonding (Van Der Waals) in Water vs Ethanol? If so, then yes Water tend to have a higher hydrogen bonding "power" than do the Ethanol because in Ethanol, there is higher stability. Lower Vapor Pressure results from higher Inter Molecular Forces. Therefore, Water has Lower Vapor Pressure since the Hydrogen bonding in (assume PURE) water has higher H-bonding.
