molecular orbital theory

Featured Replies

According to MO theory two types of molecular orbitals are formed b/w bonding atoms ,bonding and antibonding , and it is due to the interference in phases(in or out) of electron wave .but waves are continuous (not descrete at trough and crests)so in molecular orbitals why only two types of orbitals are created(bonding and antibonding)and not many else due to interference of other parts of waves .
