Here is my question : could we make a crystal with an specific atom that have different quantum states and a particular structure, so it hosts a cellular automaton (like a 3D Conway's game of life) ? Close states would react one to others, because of the specific properties of the crystal.


Since cellular automaton can carry any algorithm, we could use this crystal as a computer.


Is it possible ?
