Mother's Father?

Featured Replies

Everyone likes to think that if your mother's father is old and has all his hair, then you will have yours when you're old. Likewise, if he loses it, then you will lose yours too.

I have a feeling this isn't true and that it really all has to do with genes.

Do you guys know anything about this, or any other way I can tell if my hair will fall out?

As a general rule, if you want to know what will happen to your hair, you look at your maternal grandfather. It's one of those things that are passed down the maternal line (x chromosome).
