daphne2013
Hi, guys, I know tartaric acid include DL-tartaric acid, L (+)- Tartaric Acid, Anticaking L (+)-Tartaric Acid and D (-)- Tartaric Acid. Do you know the difference between them? Thank you for your help.
Enthalpy
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tartaric_acid they know dextro, levo and meso forms, plus mixes and... is that the proper sense? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anticaking_agent Ammonium sodium tartrate is one of the few compounds that separate into dextro and levo forms when crystallizing. I suppose tartaric acid is then used to separate L and R forms of synthesized amines. The tratrate is one cadidate for my suggested Czochralski separation: http://www.chemicalforums.com/index.php?topic=65386.
