That is a very wide question...

 

Basically you should think of quantum physics as the physics that applies when you are at the length scales of atoms and molecules or indeed smaller.

 

The amazing thing here is that particles can behave more like waves and waves more like particles!

It is usually called quantum mechanics, and it is about extremely small things, atoms and subatomic particles. The nucleus of an atom is made of protons and neutrons, which in turn are made of quarks. See:
