Experimental design, elephant impact on vegetation.

I was planning on doing a dissertation on the effect of elephants on vegetation and seeing how this is impacted by distance to water sources. However I’ve been told this is not really an experiment.

 

I have data from previous years on type of vegetation, weather data, damage to vegetation, etcetera. However my question is can anyone think of the title of an experiment using this data, any other information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
