What chemical reaction needed to obtain titanium ions?

Featured Replies

I'm currently doing research on growing ions on spider silk to make it stronger, and I was wondering how I could obtain titanium ions from a chemical reaction? Also, i was also wondering what the top five strongest elements are in terms of strength?

Thanks!

Strength or hardness is a property of molecules (and condition and more), not of atoms.

For instance diamond isextremely resistant to compression while graphite is not.

Or pure iron is extremely soft (even if body-centered cubic) while steel can be hard.

Conversely, silicone rubber is extremely soft and weak while silicon and carbon can be very hard.
