Getting rid of IE...need help

Featured Replies

Majorgeeks is just a mirror that helps out the distribution of the spybot software. You can come down from your ultra paranoid level.

As for the original question, I assure you it cannot be done. If I had physical access to your machine, no matter what you did I could still continue using it.

yes i know its a mirror. just wondering why the majorgeeks didnt have reference to safer networking. and neither did the main spybot site have anything about the patch.

I downloaded adaware...but when I try and delete critical files, it stops on the loading bar, and I have to restart my computer. Does anyone know what the problem is?

maybe it didn't really stop? it could seem to have frozen when it was really just taking a long time (especially if you have lots of files to be deleted).

btw, who is that in your avatar?

I have never heard of malware disabling adaware. That seems very unlikely.

i ve heard of such things. some strains of CoolWebSearch do that. (or similar, like not allowing to go to the mirrors providing anti-adware software)

Yep, it is very true the nasty Spyware L2M, CWS etc, etc. Can stop scanners, stop people going to sites that help with spyware etc, etc. I strongly recommend that ecoli sorts it out.

If you get a HijackThis log I can sort all the spyware out.
