Just curious, what are some good topics in organic chemistry to write a 10 page research paper about?

I have a technical communication class this semester, and I was planning on writing about fullerene and it's application in creating nanotubes. I figured it was a good topic that could relate to the real world in its application for creating synthetic materials. Among a few other ideas I had, I thought this was the best topic. What are some good topics to write a paper about?

Maybe you could detail more what you call a "research paper". Most people here understand "a paper describing the achievements of your research", but you more likely mean "a report about the current state of research by other people".
