Wow, looking in that forum is like looking back in time to a 1970's polytechnic sociology lecture. Such an amazing amount of complete self deception and denial of reality. Highly amusing in a sort of twisted way.

I guess that's way the venture failed miserably. People were forced to uphold comunist ideals by killing them. That doesn't sound very effective to me.

Socialistic or Communistic values need a totalitarian government to uphold them. And Totalitarianism doesn't work well with people these days.

Seems to work for the US. Or are we not talking about foreign occupations and religious impostions? :P

There are some Socialist qualities, but we don't have so many that we require totalitarianism. We seem to have a demoratic-republic of sorts, last I checked. :D
