With the increasing industrialisation of both China and India, do Western powers have good reason to be sceptical about reducing their ecological footprint?

I agree with Ophiolite.

 

There are no technical barriers anymore. There may be some economical barriers, but I actually doubt that. It seems mostly just human stupidity.

How about that the definition of "Sustainable" seems to be quite variable.
