Potential strength enhancing armor?

Featured Replies

Carbon nanotubes are being researched now for their ballistic capabilities. They are said to work extremely well, and be extremely lightweight. I also read that they can be used for muscular replacements because their reaction to electricity. When electricity is applied, is flexes like a muscle. So could these two properties be combined to make suit of performance enhancing armor?

Their pliability would be nowhere near that of living tissue, unless you used some type of stepped grid, but that would be more in the area of plain robotics.

Could it be done? Yes, probably.

Could it be done within our lifetimes? Probably not.

So it wouldn't work very well even if it were to take on the shape of the human muscle anatomy? Similair to the Nanosuit from the Crysis series?
