Anks
Hey Guys!! I have been working on gold(3-5 nm) colloids. Now i need to get the precipitates of the same, so thinking about purchasing some membrane filters. But i'm not sure about what type of filter would actually give me high yield. Also i have read that certain filter assemblies and vacuum pumps are required with membrane filters. if anyone can please throw light...
Enthalpy
Filtering 4nm won't be easy... Do you want to keep the rest of the colloid? It looks simpler if you can evaporate the liquid, evaporate or burn the surfactant, and melt the powder left behind.
