Does anyone know if you can get flamabel gases in a ball mill, milling Platinum and Gold

If the platinum and gold are in ore, then you cannot get any flammable gases.

 

But why would you want to do that (unless you have some highly concentrated ore, which you probably do not have)??

Regular (South-African) ore contains only 0.5 ppm platinum... so if you process 1 ton (!) then you will get only 0.5 gram, which is only worth about $50. And you would need a seriously big ball mill, AND a treatment to get the platinum and gold out of the ore (read about it on wikipedia... it's not a matter of just picking the platinum and gold particles out like you might sometimes see in the movies).
