Need Picture of a cell.......plz help urgent!!!

Recommended Posts

Hi every1,

i need to find a picture of any type of cell that can be found like in the human body or even animals. But i need to be able to see the interior of the cell (whats inside) and i also need to have the dimensions for it (its size in whatever units, i think itll probably be nano metres). I also need its scientific name. Any type of cell will do.

I have been looking for this for a while but cant seem to find it, if anyone has what I am looking for or knows where to get it, plz post immediately.

THX in advance.

Thx for the reply, but i need a pic which shows the size of the stuff inside the cell, need dimensions. since i think im gonna have to make a model of that cell, so need its scientific name, size/dimensions (length width wtever), and need to see its internal structure.

Thx again.

Does anyone have a site that has pictures of cells found in the human body, possibly eukaryotic cells of a certain tissue. Anything would be helpful at the moment :D
Here's a site, with among other things, a liver cell, if you can figure out what the organelles are and get a typical size for a liver cell then you are in business. :

http://www.emc.maricopa.edu/faculty/farabee/BIOBK/BioBookCELL2.html

Edit:

This site has roughly the same info, but on page 1 you can get the size of a liver cell:http://www.becomehealthynow.com/article/bodycell/709/

Edit2:

This has some general dimensions of some organelles

Your best bet is to use some type of illustration (an artist's rendition of a cell). Use the google image search and you'll come up with plenty.

Perhaps something like this: http://www.columbia.edu/cu/biology/courses/c2005/purves6/figure04-07a.jpg

An actual picture of a cell (With enough magnification to see organelles) will appear in black and white, and will not look nearly as pretty as an illustration.

I'll try an attach something (although I dunno the size limit for things, so it may be quite small (If I manage to attach anything at all).

Plz go to this site, and scroll down to and click on basal cell, i think theyr skin cells rite.

Neways can sum1 plz identify the stuff thats inside the cell. It would be muchos helpful. Plz reply ASAP.

Thx in advance

when I looked at the basal cell image I didn't see why you said it was a skin cell (keratinocyte) ....it could have been anything. I'm a bit confused as to why you are asking people to name the organelles etc. when you can find this in any textbook worth it's salt. Do you have no access to decent textbooks? What exactly is the problem? I could name the organelles for you but you better give me a good reason why I should...since you can access this site then you can access good online texts with explanations etc. I really don't think people should do other folks homework for them. If you have a genuine problem with a theory or concept that's different....you've tried to understand and have difficulties...otherwise, the basics of cell biology are present on the web and in numerous seminal textbooks, such as Alberts Molecular biology of the Cell.
