What property does a membrane pump contain but a membrane carrier does not?

I know both flux depend onan electrical gradientbut what are the differences in each?

Wiki them? Carriers come in different forms (active, passive etc) and membrane pumps only in one. If you "pump" something, you require energy to move something from low to high. I hope that helps a bit.

it's in the name, basically. pump is actively pumping something, even if the concentration on the target side of membrane is higher than on the other; carrier only facilitates concentration - based transport.
