Where are the roughest and stormiest seas in the world? i have been told off the SW coast of africa they are really bad, but i am not sure.

The Drake Passage near Antarctica, if memory serves it was named after a pirate who had successfully gotten through it without his ship getting obliterated. In addition to the regular geographical nightmare of that cross over between oceans, Rogue Waves would make the best sailor scream like a school girl.
