I mean, are you.... * Trying to get an idea of what it is MechEs do? * Trying to get the 15 minute version of the education so you can imagine that you too are a MechE? * Trying to see how varied the field is? Posted April 8, 2011 Share Posted April 8, 2011 (edited) Fundamental to Mechanical Engineering is how things are measured ; eg , Mass in Kilograms ( Kg ) , Force in Newtons ( N ) , Distance in Metres ( m ) , etc . www.bipm.org There are numerous systems for measurement , S.I. was not invented overnight . Topics would be: - differentials, integrals - linear algebra - trigonometry - etc. It sucks to be a 1st year student, but the excitement when you actually understand all of it is well worth it.
