Spreadsheet question: How do I get all the information from a column copied into a column of a different worksheet?

Sheet one has Column A with information in it. I want to be able to make changes to information throughout various rows in column A (including deleting and adding new rows with information) and have Column A of Sheet 1 mirrored in Column A of Sheet 2.

How do I do this?

I'm using Google Docs, but I think it's similar to Openoffice and/or Excel.

Like this?

Yes, like that, but ='main sheet'!A1 seems to be allowing the copy of one cell per insertion into cell.

I seem to be able to copy the column over to another column, thus influencing the same formulas onto nearby columns, thus copying Column B also. This is fine enough. Thank you.
