1. What is a benefit and one disadvantage of observing bacteria in Yogurt using a live whole mount compared to a Gram stain slide?

Well, most staining kills the cells, so that's a disadvantage. Now you just need to figure out what an advantage of staining might be.

Think of circumstances when you want to mount a bacteria dead or alive.
