I don´t know about mimicing ability, but what I can tell you is that you´ll almost never see it alone, they´re nearly always found in groups. The bank myna is locally called ¨lali¨ in Punjab (¨lali" means the red one). Often the local names of birds reveal a lot about their habits and plumage.

 

The sarus as per folklore is a very cunning creature and is a part of several childhood stories. I saw it in a bird sancturay. But its also a very common visitor to the city zoo (They have this area where migrating birds can be spotted seasonally).

it is a fact that it is the raven or crow can not remember which one that is the smartest bird of all it is able to make tools out of sticks or wire by bending them and using the wire to extract food from small holes they have also been know to drop nuts which they can not get into on the roads in line of cars tires untill one runs over the nut and crush's the shell so it can eat the nut, as well as mimic, and some have also learnt to pull bin bag liners up from bins by grabing with there beak pulling up and trapping it under there claws untill they can reach the food in the bins. now didnt i say they were cleaver
