Cap'n Refsmmat
Well, I just installed it-and promptly uninstalled it. As soon as it finished installing and rebooted, I wanted to mention it, but the internet wouldn't work. Firefox OR IE. Windows Firewall was disabled at the time. I promptly moved to another computer, and yes, the internet was working there (with no SP2), so I went to microcrap's website and looked to see if it was a known problem. Of course it wasn't. Then I went back and uninstalled, and obviously, everything works now.
5614
wow cap'n you sooo read my mind, i was just thinking lets say: who has SP2 and who doesnt, for those who do.... how's life going? [as far as your computer is concerned - that is!] so i go to computer sciences and at the top of the list is this! cap'n's problem was probably due to port blocking, however he says that the firewall was off, so thats dodgy - i still havent got it, and im all fine. Cap'n Refsmmat
Yes, Windows firewall was off. Kaput. Norton asked me if I wanted both on, and I said I only wanted norton on, so then Windows Firewall stayed off. There was nothing on Microcrap's site. Dave
SP2's installed here, and barr a few problems with the silly Windows Security Centre, it's been okay. That, and the fact that I've had a few problems with DirectX 9.0c, but they're programming related.
