Insect Blood

Featured Replies

What exactly is insect blood made of? I seem to forget.

in most it's basically water, various hormones, proteins, nutrients etc wandering around, some have more advanced haemolymph with oxygen-binding haemocyanin proteins, copper-based non-cellular equivalents of our blood cells, but that's mostly in other arthropods, not so much insects.
