Good stuff guys! makes you wonder what HI is like?

 

I have only had the oppurtunity of working with HCl and HBr in the lab. HI is supposed to be the strongest of them all and the most ionised one too (Given that HCl is 98 + % ionised, this'd be quite some acid !!!).

 

Strangely enough despite all of HF's attacking capabilities it is still a weak acid, and for ionic equilibria applications, you have to treat it like one.
