I know this is crazy, but what if ...

I created an electron gun that charge high amount of electrons, then it discharge them in stream of connected packets of electrons ...

electron: O

electrical transcriber: |XXXX|

[gun] OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO |XXXX|

i once read that the American scientist Tesla tried to transmit

electricity through air ...

any ideas ..?

you mean like a cathode ray tube?

and wireless transmission of electricity used radiowaves, not electrons.

There was actually an article in New Scientist this year on the wireless transmission of electricity.

Another possibility, other than radio waves, is to fire an infrared laser at a photovoltic cell to convert the energy back in to electricity.

wireless, power towers, infrared laser,

.. still there is no idea on how to transmit electricity in air without affecting livings,

I forgot about magnetic induction! This is used for charging electric toothbrushes, but at the moment only works at VERY close distances (mm range).

well in red alert 2 there were those tesla towers, when soldiers get close they get zapped by lightning.. i think it's possible if you over charge the towers and have the ground insulating and level enough for there to be no discharge until a conductive "pointy" guy comes along..and then....BBQ..:D

IOW, potential difference (in voltage)

Take a look at this

using resonant energy transfer.

I has little to do with guns though..
