While you're doing (or going to do) something for your work (or just for a hobby), and have access to necessary chemicals, only a few can resist the temptation of making explosives or such. And with good safety precautions, the risk is minimal with most explosives (if I ever make TNT, I think electric ignition from VERY far away is the only option for me ).
