Easy acid base equilibrium question. I went blank?

H20<------>H+ + OH-

If I add H+ do I take it as increase of H+ concentration or decrease of OH- concentration and why?

I think if you add H+ ions then you will get a decrease in -OH resulting from le Chatleir principle

You should read about the water equilibrium constant Kw. Hydronium and hydroxide ions are always in equilibrium with molecular water.

if you add H+ you get an increase in the concentration of H+ ions. also, due to the equilibrium, you will get a decrease in OH- but the H+ will still be higherthan it was before.
