Darth, I thought Herr Brahe's prosthetic nose was silver

There are many beliefs to what his nose was really made of. Some say it was completely made of silver. Others say that it was gold plated brass. I think most believe that it was a mixture of silver and gold, with wax acting as skin. After reopening his grave, they discovered green rust which would implicate the use of copper. Im guessing it was a mixture of things including gold and silver, because the gold and silver would make it more noble.

 

Everyone seems to agree that he glued it on, and he had to carry a small box, with the glue in it, around with him at all times in case he needed to fix it.

 

In my readings, he is often called, "the man with the golden nose".
