Lymph nodes can not create white blood cells right?

Featured Replies

They can only collect and multiply when they need. They are not bone marrow

Am I right?

Lymph nodes are like rest stops on the highway - white blood cells and accumulate there and wait rather than being transported by the lymph.

I think there are T cells and B cells.

T cells are from the thymus.

B cells are from the bone marrow.

You may want to look into the stem cells (hematopoietic cells) that produce many blood based cells.

I don't think there are any cells specifically born in the lymph nodes.
