csidney
I am now a science writer, and I have been focusing on the science of photography. An excerpt of my work can be found at: http://luminous-landscape.com/essays/art2.shtml See also Photophys.com At present I am concentrating on computational photography and the computational camera. These topics are the subject of courses in Computer Science Departments. What are the best textbooks, if any, in this area? Can you suggest good references? I am aware of online class notes from various universities.

csidney
I want to understand the principles behind the various methods. For example, what is necessary to characterize the light field? Also, I want to know what is likely to be implemented in the near future. I think I have to work on the research literature.
