Seat belts on buses

Featured Replies

Should seatbelts be fitted for the use of all passengers on buses?

List your agruements as to whether it should or should not have seatbelts.

Around town - no.

Highways - yes.

No, for either of them. The figures of which elude me at present are so small for injuries incurred in bus CRASHes are very small. Plus the driver of the bus should very rarely get into those situations where a seatbelt is needed.

Plus arent bus's not allowed over 80kph? thats the law here in NZ....tis not that fast

A typical freeway where I live ranges from 55 to 65 Mph. So yes the busses do drive on it(both public and private/commercial) and they(drivers) all are required to wear a seatbelt, regardless of the road chosen or the speed driven at.
