Cation Exchange

Featured Replies

Okay first post and i am totally confused.

Looking at the cation exchange, how does the plant root which is negatively charged, get the cations which are positively charged (Ca, Fe, K ect...), that have bonded not to the plant root, but has bonded to the negatively charge clay and organic matter particles?

Thanks

Thank you for that. It is what i thought it must be. It's very clever how it works.
