  2. What about the environment that these cells develop in? The saying "primordial ooze" is normally used?
  3. Maybe it is just the area that you are looking in. Also iron pyrite does not erode that easily (i believe) so what you are looking at is harder minerals standing the test of time where softer ones erode away revealing the fossils you are finding. Cay
  4. Okay first post and i am totally confused. Looking at the cation exchange, how does the plant root which is negatively charged, get the cations which are positively charged (Ca, Fe, K ect...), that have bonded not to the plant root, but has bonded to the negatively charge clay and organic matter particles? Thanks
