Since past and present life on Mars is being reported by Mars rovers, what are the financial implications for the betting company Ladbrokes and its parent company Hilton?

I don't think the betting companies have to worry about going broke tbh. All the rovers have shown is that Mars once had a wet climate, not that the planet supported life.

Let us consider the highly hypothetical, NASA announces tomorrow that it has discovered life organisms on Mars.

 

What would be the implications?

I imagine the betting companies would lose quite a lot of money.

 

Compared to their takings from sports bets etc though, I don't think they'd be in serious trouble, and even if they were, I wouldn't care too much.
