max.yevs Posted March 24, 2009 Share Posted March 24, 2009 if the solution is a salt of the metal, then plating will be significantly faster. however, it is not required and just having the anode made of that metal will make the salt for you and plate whatever precious metal you want.... only something very unreactive, like gold, will require for the solution to be a gold salt Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
