Has anyone done anything interesting with this (in real life?) In my bioinformatics class we have to design a theoretical bacteria culture that can process an input and have two different outputs.

 

I'm trying to design a bacteria that glows and smells like mint when the lights turn off.

 

I'm interested to know though, if anyone has done any bioengineering stuff like this. It seems like it has enormous potential is people utilize it correctly.
