I can comprehend up to 10 spacial dimentions, but I have a problem with 1 time dimension. With any spacial dimension (at least 3 right now), but if there were more, should there not be at least 3 time dimensions. And if m theory is correct should there a time dimension for all of the grouped spacial dimensions

In "metric theories" the difference between space and time is only seen in the metric and is not an intrinsic distinction on the space-time manifold. The difference is seen in the signature of the metric.

 

 

Indeed, there is no reason why one should consider just one time. In fact, string theory suggests that at least 2 temporal directions are needed.

 

Now, you are suggesting a "symmetry" where by the metric can be cast into the form diag(-1,-1,..., 1,1) at a point where we have equal numbers of 1's and -1's.

 

You are free to consider geometries with metrics like this. Are they needed in physics? I have no idea.
