insane_alien Posted August 28, 2008 Share Posted August 28, 2008 seein as no room temperature has ever been constructed in any lab on earth and that the high temperature (though still very very cold) superconductors have an immensly complex crystal structure i'm going to say, no its not possible in a highschool lab. as for using polymers, it may be possible but i do not understand the process of superconductivity well enough to make an educated guess on the subject. guy7 Posted September 5, 2008 Author Share Posted September 5, 2008 that would be cool... anyway with the fact that room temperature would be impossible, how could I create a helium refrigeration? I understand how refrigeration works but what would be required to liquify helium? (I just realized that I must sound very stupid. Please bear with me.) If you're not ready to rebuild your garage into a physics lab and spend some money, you might as well forget about it. What do you need the superconductors for?
