Regarding Pulmonary Arteries and veins!

Featured Replies

I know that most arteries in the adult body carry oxygen-rich blood, and the veins carry oxygen-depleted, carbon dioxide-rich blood. But how does differ in the pulmonary arteries and veins?

Pulmonary veins and arteries still carry blood to and from the heart respectively, only their content is switched because they are exchanging oxygen at the lungs. The pulmonary arteries send depleted blood to the lungs and the pulmonary veins send enriched blood to the heart.
