Copying photos from Ipod to computer problem

For the last few months i've been travelling and using my Ipod as a flash disk to store photos. Anyway after coming back a few days ago I found out for some reason I can't copy them back onto my computer. Everytime I try to copy a photo it comes up with a message saying 'Cannot copy Image_2873 the Parameter is Incorrect'

 

Anyone have a clue whats going on as I really don't want to lose the 3 or 4 thousand photos I have. Cheers

try it with a linux liveCD. if that still doesn't work, you'll at least know EXACTLY why you can't do it.

 

also, can you open the pictures up from the ipod? if you can then you can just hit save as. for 3-4000 thats going to be a few weeks work though.
