Would someone like to teach me some of the basic concepts which have been confusing me since i was first introduced with Chemistry?

I can give you two guidelines that always apply:

 

Always double-check what you write

 

Always use the appropriate units when calculating stuff.

I dont understand how electricity is actually produced and what is current etc.

Aha, basically you are saying: wt* is electrochemistry?
