Please can somebody tell me how to make AP out of newspaper (its the carbon i think). Please....I know its possible. Oh yeah, you can use cotton wool somehow as well)

AP, I know of only one term for AP and it`s an explosive, and it`s got nothing to do with what you mentioned?

NC can use those materials and is a replacement for BP, known as SBSP or DBSP all are both NC based.

 

 

so, it`s make yer mind up time, you want BP (uses non or the stuff ya mentioned in post #1) or ya want NC (SBSP/DBSP) that can use the stuff ya mentioned in post #1?

or AP as 1`st mentioned wich uses non of the above and woyuld be far to dangerous to use as would shatter any gun or cannon you tried to make.

NC`s very easy to make if you have the right chems at the correct strengths.

you`ll need: conc sulphuric acid, nitric acid 70% or above, sodium hydroxide sollution, cotton wool and loads of sodium bicarb.

 

wash the cotton wool in the sodium hydroxide soln for 2 or 3 mins, then rinse out thouroughly with cold water. let it dry.

 

take your nitric acid out the fridge half fill a beaker, then take you sulphuric acid out of the fridge and pour into your beaker until it is 3/4 full, there maybe some heating, so put your beaker back into the fridge and allow it to cool again, you`ve just made a nitrating mix.

do the rest outside now, as it`ll produce NOx gasses, and keep the temp low, as you`ll get a run away reaction and risk spontanious explosion spraying acid everywhere, and you`ll have no NC at the end of it either, so if it`s worth doing, do it right 1`st time.

 

when cool add your cotton wool peice at a time and stir with a glass rod for a few mins, remove the wool then wash in cold water for 5 mins, then add your bicarb and let it steep in that for 20 mins, wash thouroughly with clean water again, and let your wool dry, do NOT dry it on a heater or smoke near it, you`ve just made SBSP NC aka GunCotton
